2008 has proved to be a "Blue ribbon" year for Max Kirwan Mazda. Not only did the dealership set a new all time Victorian state sales record of 1836 units for the year and finish up the N0. 1 selling dealer in Victoria in the process, it also won a number of major industry awards as well. Max Kirwan Mazda was awarded Mazda Australia's top honor. - The Mazda Master dealer award for the second year running. The Master dealer award signifies that the dealership has achieved standards of customer satisfaction and excellence that ranks it at the top of its profession not just in Victoria, but Australia wide. In addition the dealership also took out the Capital Finance Australia Ltd. Metro Victorian dealer of the year award for excellence in all facets of finance and insurance operations. In February 2009 the dealership was nominated for and won both the prestigious AADA ( Australian Automobile Dealer Association) VACC ( Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce) Victorian dealer of the year award for services to the community, customer satisfaction and overall operational excellence, as well as the AADA VACC service excellence award for achievements in customer satisfaction in the service department.
